Rev. CHARLES BRODHEAD

DISTRICT SECRETARY

Aloha! I’m Pastor Charles, and I was called to a life of ministry as a teenager during summer camp. That calling led me to begin my pastoral journey as a youth pastor at Arlington Avenue Church of the Nazarene, and over the past thirty-six years, I have been blessed to serve in a variety of roles—including youth pastor, family life pastor, and executive pastor—at five Nazarene churches across Riverside, Fresno, Bakersfield, Auburn, and Lompoc, California.

I have been an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene since 2005 and hold professional degrees in Business Administration and Marketing. Currently, I serve as the Lead Pastor of Kona Coast Church of the Nazarene, where I have the privilege of walking alongside our church family and seeing lives transformed by God’s love.

I am blessed to be married to my beautiful wife, Leesa, and together we are grateful for our three adult children and four grandchildren. Our family is a daily reminder of God’s goodness and faithfulness, and we cherish every opportunity to serve Him and share His love.

In all that I do, my desire is to serve God faithfully, support His people wholeheartedly, and walk in His calling wherever He leads.

STRATEGIC COORDINATOR

Aloha! I’m Rev. Isabella Puapuaga Barrett—though most people simply call me Pastor Bella. My journey in both ministry and education has been shaped by God’s grace, and I am grateful for the calling He has placed on my life. I have the privilege of serving as the Pastor of Ewa Beach Church of the Nazarene, where I walk alongside our church family in faith, love, and hope.

In addition to my local church role, I serve our Hawaii Pacific District as the Strategies Coordinator and the Director of the Board of Ministry. It is a blessing to support our pastors, leaders, and ministries across the islands as we work together to strengthen, equip, and expand the work of God’s Kingdom.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Theology and a Master of Arts in Education, both from Point Loma Nazarene University. Before entering full-time pastoral ministry, I spent many years teaching students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. I currently hold teaching credentials in Hawaii and California and previously held one in Oklahoma—each experience enriching my heart for discipleship, learning, and community.

I am blessed to be married to my husband, Troy, a Registered Nurse whose compassion inspires me daily. Together, our callings in ministry and healthcare allow us to serve and care for the Ewa Beach community in meaningful and heartfelt ways. God has blessed us with five wonderful children and one beautiful granddaughter, each a precious reminder of His goodness.

In everything I do, my desire is to love God, serve His people, and faithfully follow wherever He leads.

DISTRICT TREASURER

Aloha! My name is Michele, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Olivet Nazarene University. Over the years, God has allowed me to serve in many non-profit organizations, including several Nazarene churches, as both treasurer and bookkeeper. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Elementary Education while serving as the PTSA Treasurer for Kailua Intermediate School and the Vice President of the Kailua Intermediate School Band Booster Club.

I am blessed to be the wife of Reverend Cody Rhode, pastor of our Kailua Church. God has entrusted us with four wonderful and very active children—Lauralee (15), Katelynn (13), Junior (10), and Carter (8). As a family, we love spending time outdoors, hiking, going to the beach, cheering each other on at athletic events, and building relationships in our community. Wherever we go, we hope to reflect God’s love and share the Good News.

I am passionate about bookkeeping, teaching young children, and worship through music. I believe in using every gift God has given me to serve others and to support the work of His Kingdom.

Today, I serve as the Administrative Assistant to the District Superintendent of the Hawaii Pacific District, where I have the privilege of supporting our pastors, leaders, and ministries across the islands.
